FORMAT
Nine golfers representing each of the eleven NYSPHSAA sections are competing for the NYSPHSAA Boys Golf Championship. This year's championship, hosted by Elmira's Mark Twain Golf Course, is contested over 36 holes of individual stroke play. There are two competitions being conducted:

  • #1 - Individual: The golfer with the lowest score after 36 holes will be the individual champion.
  • #2 - Section Team: The section team with the lowest 36 hole score will be the winner. Each section team's score will consist of the low seven (out of nine) scores from each round.

  • Sat, June 1 ........... Practice Rounds
  • Sun, June 2 .......... Round 1
  • Mon, June 3.......... Round 2

 

2023 CHAMPIONS
Dante Bertoni (Union-Endicott) won the 2023 NYSPHSAA Boys Golf Championship in a playoff against Victor's Brody Burgess. Bertoni finished at two-over par, with consecutive rounds of 73 (146). Section V took the section title, finishing at +52 (539), 41 strokes ahead of the second place Section XI.

NYSPHSAA

The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) is a non-profit educational service organization composed of public, parochial, and private schools dedicated to providing equitable and safe competition for students of its member schools.
 

MARK TWAIN GOLF COURSE

REMINDERS FOR SPECTATORS

The NFHS Network is the official streaming partner of the NYSPHSAA State Championships. They own exclusive rights to all NYSPHSAA State Tournament events (Sub-Regional, Regional, Semifinals and Finals).

 

Broadcasting or streaming a NYSPHSAA state championship of any kind (including social media accounts) is a violation of that agreement. Anyone not adhering to that policy will be asked to stop immediately.
